In support of improving patient care, Rush University Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
1.Advocate for the advancement of women in medicine;
2.Cite evidence-based data and peer reviewed studies relating to
gender equity, equality and implicit bias;
3.Identify impostor phenomenon, describe and implement strategies
to overcome this phenomenon;
4.Recognize barriers existing for women physicians and create
constructive solutions to be implemented for systemic change;
5.Develop leadership skills for career development and tools to help
create programming at other institutions;
6.Describe the differences between sponsorship, mentorship, coaching
and the utility of each.
